Quills

Description

Nikkor 70-300 D (165 mm), 1/80, F 4.8

Taken late afternoon at the Zoo, this Porcupine had something black in his mouth, I stayed around and tried but couldn't make out what it was. The Porcupine is a mainly a nocturnal creature, sleeping most of the day away in hollowed out logs or rock crevices. In this shot he/she was very still but starting to stir...Ouch
