Description

Forres, Moray, Scotland. The patterns created by straw bales favorite with photographers. The graphic shapes and uncluttered scene makes for simple strong pictures. The problem is everyone does it. I found this sloping field which created some visual depth and faced the setting sun. The long exposure of six mins ensured that the windblown clouds created an attractive shifting wave pattern. 0.9ND hard edged graduated filters (down to horizon) metered from the field and placed at -1.5 stops to retain some detail.
