Boulder Beach Sunset
Uploaded: November 03, 2008
It was nice catch a break(overcast break) in the storm down here this weekend. Well of course it wasn't much of a storm out here near Malibu. I was slightly hesitant becuase the surf report said occasional 7 foot waves but that wasn't the case here.
Let me know your 2 cents or if anything need something on this one. Hopefully it's not over saturated in certain areas. Lens flare was the big problem here because the sun didn't let all the color out until it was fully unobscured. Have other captures without flare but the color wasn't as intense. I used the Canon software set on Landscape option so I did have to down the blues a little. That software seems to work great sometimes or on certain occasions when I don't use a polarizer. Sometimes it produces colors that are a little wild..

Beautiful scenic capture, Steve! #6702634Gary Lange November 03, 2008
Great job here, Steve. The colors seem right on to me. Did you use a grad filter? The flare doesn't hurt the image any that I can really see. The comp is terrific. Excellent shot! #6702663Carl Fisher November 03, 2008
GREAT capture.Only since you asked, I would probably pull the blue out of the foaming surf close to shore. I would think it would have either no color or lean towards a little orange reflexing the sun. #6702681
