Great capture Bill. Sherran #6675899

Bill Knaps October 28, 2008

From Tiia down to Sherran I have read and appreciate all your nice comments. the Mississippi is quite a large river Janet. Further south the wider. It looks much smaller from where I am shooting than it really is. Sometimes it is quite busy. Many ships come up the Mississippi. Baton Rouge is as far north as ships can go. By ships I mean the largest ocean liners. Bill #6676002

Bill, love the shot. I grew up in Minnesota where one can walk across the Mississippi. Have watched the barges go through Lock & Dam 18 in Gladstone, ILL. Nice to see a picture like this from that end of the River.

Kathleen K. Parker level-deluxe October 29, 2008

Great shot, Bill. I cannot imagine walking across the Mississippi, Eugene. I know there has to be a starting point, but it is so hard to imagine. Bill, you had to get up really high, and you did.
Love this photo.
