A Hickory Horned Devil caterpillar that I found crossing the street. It was about 6" long and 1" around and was quite impressive looking. Had to look it up on the net to find the name and also found out that it turns into a Regal Hickory moth. Exposure Data: 1/800s @ F7.1. Minor levels, saturation, healing brush, and sharpened in PSE4.
Exif: F Number: 7.1, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 125/100000 seconds, Flash: did not fire., White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 90.00 mm, Model: NIKON D70s

Great macro, Rick! In the thumbnail, it looks like he's lying on his back with his legs up in the air! I didn't know those were horns! Wonderful colour, clarity and detail! :) #6415865Rick Clark September 05, 2008
