Description

Okay I'm back to my images from our vacation now!!! This is another from Rock Castle Creek. What a truly peaceful, captivating little spot!! Did some minor tweaking and added a slight Buzz to this to just add a little to the peaceful feeling. I think I went and fell in love with water shots on this trip!! But alas there isn't much in my immediate area to practice on.

Thanks so much Janet. It was a goal of mine to learn how to do this. So I contacted, some months ago, the one who does them best at BP, Darren Fisher for some help. He gave me tips via e-mail but then in October I actually got to go to VA and shoot with him. He promised I would know how to do these shots by the time I left so . . . this is the result!! #923173

I love it!!! It makes me so very happy to see these images and to know you did it and are happy about them. You did learn it very well, but it makes it easy to teach someone something that I love doing so very much when they have the passion as well. There is nothing better than standing in the middle of the woods and hearing a creek rushing by, and just letting it wash away anything that is on your mind at that moment away. I could spends hours doing this. Any how, Great job Marcie and the added effect really adds to the mood here. #923455

Hi Marcie, This is an inspiring shot. I hope to go a few minutes north of Winnipeg this weekend to take some shots of the rapids. I'm new to this site. I've noticed a couple of photographers say they "added some buzz" to the photo. Can you explain what that means.

Randy . . . Buzz is a filter that you can add to PhotoShop and use like any of the other filters. It can be adjusted to give different effects depending on what you want. It gives a painted feeling to images in most cases. I can send you the link to it if you want to e-mail me through my gallery. And welcome to the sight. I think you'll enjoy it!! It's a great group of very supportive photographers at all different levels and stages of the art!!
