Great shot, Murry!! The purple is intense. That background would make for a mean puzzle, though!

Yep...that background would have me involved in a very time intensive game! A nice shot indeed...looks like a lily, is it not? Good luck with it! #691435

Super colors and detail. Like your background a lot! #691626

Monika Sapek August 06, 2004

Love how the purples tones in those leaves in the background are matching the flower petals, Murry. But if you don’t mind my honesty, I think it would be better to crop this image a bit from the right, to the edge of the brighter leaf, so this beautiful flower would be placed more on the side of this image. But it’s still a very nice image, Murry, by those colors here which I like it a lot!

Murry Grigsby August 06, 2004

Thanks Ellen, Stephen, Monika and Adilson :0) Thanks for the suggestion Monika. I'm always pleased when someone thinks enough of one of my photos to take the time to offer constructive criticism. I always hate to crop very much since my camera is only 3.2 megapixels but here is the cropped version. What do you think? #691697

Colette M. Metcalf August 06, 2004

Hey Murry, I like the cropped version better! #691805

Monika Sapek August 06, 2004

Oh, yes, Murry, I like this image even more now. Nice crop ;-). You see the first version of this image leaves the flower almost in the center with a little too much empty space on the right, but here it is much better. I know what you mean saying about the cropping. Even now having more megapixels from my new camera, I don’t like cropping my images also ;-).

Hi Murry!
I like the first one but the second one really has a pop to it! In the edited version I like the off-center feel it gives it! Great colors!
Have a great day!
Michelle #691841

Murry Grigsby August 06, 2004

Thanks Colette, Monika and Michelle. Well that does it, I'll just tell Pat that I need a new camera with more megapixels :0) #691908

Terry R. Hatfield August 06, 2004

Hi Murry What A Change Between The Two The Cropped Version Looks Much Better!! Nice Job:-) #691949

Susie Peek-Swint August 06, 2004

Both shots are lovely Murry but I prefer the cropped version with the flower slightly off center.. beautiful colours! Don't feel so bad with the 3.2mp as mine has just 2! One of these days I hope to be up there with the big guys :) #691989
