very cool...i love IR and this is a great one...i also have a D100 and was told by Nikon that I couldn't use the D100 for IR photography...can you tell me how you accomplished this....thanks #118819

Thanks, Cathy! I used a tripod, composed & focused the image first, then attached a Hoya R72 filter, and did several shots between 1 and 3 seconds. I tried several different exposures to see what would work best. Although I'm still learning IR, if I can you, please let me know!

The only word I can find for this image is WOW and this is not any where close to justice for the beauty you have captured. The IR for this composition was one excellent choice. #490579

PS... in Photoshop, I desaturated the image, applied auto levels and used unsharp mask. (I'm not that knowledgeable with PS, there may be better ways to do this.) #490596

What a gorgeous photograph Deborah! I love the monochrome, IR and buZZ treatment...and whatever else you've done to this shot - it has given your 'Hidden Bridge' image a dreamlike appearance! The composition is really great, and so are the reflections... VERY well done! #491772

PS - Deborah, I forgot to tell you that this shot of yours looks like a lovely painting! I hope you have it framed and hanging on your wall!! #491788

Thank you Bob, Kristen and Carolyn! I'm so pleased you like this infrared shot! This was taken about a month ago, but I was undecided about entering it. After the addition of the simplifier, it seemed to be complete! #491939
