It doesn't look quite real to me. I once visited a sporting goods store that had taxidermy animals set up in natural looking scenes and that is sort of what this looks like to me. So I am guessing it is someplace like that.

My guess is it's at NorthWest Trek in western Washington state. I have a shot almost just like this one taken there.

At NWTrek's I saw a mote, but no stones. This animal looks a little fat for being in the wild, but I will go with where the cougars are, anyway: Vancouver Island, BC.
If you go there, be careful. They hold the record for cougar attacks. Just to the south in Mason County, Washington State, a cougar attacked my dog. We treed him, where I caught photos you can see at www.creekbed.com.

I think it's real and in the mountains of Colorado most likely, could be Arizona or New Mexico or even Big Bend Texas. Guess I'll search the site for a possible answer ;-). #458374

Hi Lewis, I'm not sure how far off base I am, but are these 2 different photos, merged into one. Is that a dolphin in the water looking up at the lion?
I'm going to guess it is Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. Real nice shot by the way. Lorraine Steele #458723
