Skies are generally very blue in SA, but I accentuated it with a circular polarizer (mostly) and a little bit of PS. #4237621

Can I ask what type of lens you used and did you get down really low to get that incredible perspective of height and angles? #4248323

Hi Gabby,
I used a tripod and the camera was at a comfortable height. I used the one and only lens attached to this compact camera (24 – 120 mm) and I was rather close to the wind pump.
The ISO was 160 and I used a cable release.
This is one of my early days pictures and was it not for the gray medal next to it, I would have long deleted it.

Thanks for your response. It's heartening to know that sometimes great composition comes from positioning yourself just right, not any fancy gadgets or lenses!
