Thanks for your kind comments!I think this was my second shot out of about 4 pan attempts. The others weren't as sharp. I forgot to mention something else that I think adds to the success of this image. I used second shutter sync flash. From past experience I believe this adds to the sharpness of the panned subject, by firing off the flash just before the shutter closes, as opposed to firing it off just as it opens. I enjoy using motion a fair bit in my photography, this is one of my favorite images.
