I'd like to know how to hand-color a black and white photo. I'm a novice.

Hi Mary Ellen,
You start with a black and white print preferable printed on fiber based paper or matte paper. Then what I use it Marshall's oils and pencils.
Here is a great website you can go to for a lot of information on this. It's a lot of fun, you will be hooked!

Awesome Picture, I have been doing a lot of work with the oil paint and was wondering what the difference was between the oil paint and the pencil's?
Also the you spary your photo with a sealer when you are finished painting it?

Thanks Kimberly
