Thanks all, for your comments! Just to be accurate, I have to clarify that I did not use "smudge stick" here, but "dark strokes." It was late at night when I posted this and I'd been working on another photo using smudge. Tried it here in fact, but the details were obscured too much in that particular experiment... they are obscured a bit here too, but I felt it was acceptable. This also went through multiple adjustments in its palette. The water did have a greenish cast at the time I took the photo, but the original was dark and not this colorful. #2513645
