Janet uploaded an image of the CH-47 recently and then I remembered that I had photographed one while hiking about 1 year ago - Chinooks are currently being used for the rescue of people "Outside the Wire" in Kabul - This aircraft has serious lifting capabilities and can carry a bunch of people. A good insertion and extraction vehicle - Not stealth but has decent armor and fire power - Personally I would prefer the Black Hawk for these missions but being picky is not an option right now..... The task are exceptionally dangerous and these aircrews are true modern day heroes -
