Description

Domes and cupolas capping three churches (including the cathedral's set of three cross-and-sphere-topped peaks) seen above the rooftops of Salzburg, Austria. This composition was inspired by the city as it appears behind Maria and the children, learning “Do Re Mi” in “The Sound of Music,” a prime motivator for my visit to Salzburg. 9/19 Finalist - ManMade

What a thrill to visit Salzburg. The clarity of the domes and crosses are truly inspiratonal. Loved the place through we spent only a few hours there ourselves. I've watched The Sound of Music probably 2 or 3 times and fell in loved with the characters, the place and of course the music. Being there was magical as shown with your image Hope to see this again. #1730358

Thank you, Reynaldo! Watching the movie was a family tradition every year in our house; I've probably seen it at least a dozen times. When planning the trip to Salzburg, I had to watch the movie again, this time with a "photographer's eye" for scenes I wanted to visit. #11781957
