iPhone X - Stage Light Mono Filter
(I couldn’t take my good camera near the enclosure)
Taken at the International Primate Rescue in Pretoria, South Africa where I volunteered for a week.
This capuchin monkey’s name is Elliot. He is one of the many abused, neglected, or abandoned primates now rescued and in IPR’s loving care. I speak out against the Exotic Pet Trade. I speak out against animal testing because these primates best lives would be lived out the wild. But alas, they can’t be released and are left Wanting. (I’m pretty sure Elliot just wanted me to hand over my phone so that he could inspect it, but something more profound could very well have been going on in his head when he was reaching out)
