Description

The alligator species is estimated to be over 150 million years old. Even when the dinosaurs became extinct, alligators somehow survived. They were once again heading for extinction in the 20th century, due to human exploitation and destruction of habitat, but regulations finally put into place were successful and the animals are once again thriving.

Great moment captured! Love the wiggly water, and branches framing it's head... :-) #1725634
