Description

This handsome native reptile is known in Australia as a Goanna! Hence the nickname of Joanna Goanna. These animals can grow to 8 foot 2 inches in length, with the smallest variety being only 8 inches long.
Goanna’s have very sharp teeth, and their saliva can cause serious infections. They are best left alone, as are crocodiles, sharks and funnel web spiders. They are usually rather friendly animals, and are a protected species.
