Never Underestimate The Power Of A Shoe

Description

I believe every little girl has dreamed of a pair of ruby red sparkling shoes ( I wear a 7 1/2 by the way) ... My theme for this week is 'headspace', meaning to compose your subject in such a way as to have an adequate amount of space in your frame to convey the feeling of your subject. In this case my intent was to have the feet of the 3 year old seem small or young in a vast world... After processing this single image in raw, I used Topaz Clarity to boost the brightness of the shoes without washing out the blue sky. I still struggle metering these type of shots despite using exposure compensation. Plus shooting handheld with an often moving target makes bracketing near impossible. Suggestions are appreciated.
