Rose Swirl

Description

This started out as a lens-zooming-during-exposure (3.5s) image of a stained glass rose window. So, lots of radial lines of colors coming out of the center, kind of like looking down a funnel. I made color/contrast adjustments, and applied two filters (radial blur, twirl) before using the transform tool to stretch the circular spiral diagonally. I like the galactic feel of the result, as well as the spiral in general, and of course the magnificent color combinations coming from the 10,500 pieces of glass in the window. 7/16 Finalist - DD

Great post work ...I can't tell if I'm looking up, down, or sideways, depending on how I move my head... :-) Love the clarity, and color!
