A Cold Morning In Texas

Uploaded: December 28, 2013

Description

Canon 100 mm macro lens, f/5.6, 1/30 s, ISO 100.

To create this image I propped up a piece of window glass outdoors and poured water on the surface. The air temperature was about 15 Fahrenheit. I placed a Hawaiian shirt about a foot behind the glass to get the color.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/30 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 100, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 100.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 5D Mark II

I love the creativity of your photograph. I never would have guessed the color from a Hawaiian shirt. It looks like ice crystals. ~April #1557502

Thank you, April. I have been trying to create frost on glass in the early morning. The humidity is too low for frost to occur naturally. This is my favorite image so far. Thanks for taking the time to comment. #10932745
