The first one tells the story, but I really like the Keeping Order portrait which I think shows his personality.

If you have room I would move him back in the frame towards the left edge slightly and adding an equal space to the right edge. Don’t do a lot but by taking away the space behind and adding it to the right it gets rid of some negative space and adds an area for him to look into.

I added a some edge and recropped. I added some edge and then a bit of a blur. If there is a better way, someone let me know. I tried to do some of what Dale told Peter and then blend it.

I agree with Mike; the first image tells us the story. Then the edited second shot shows his great character. I would just like to see his face lightened up a tad but as none of the experts have mentioned it perhaps I need to check my screen settings.
