Young Barn Swallow

Description

Young Barn Swallow rests on a fence just over a pond where they had been feeding off of the bugs on the surface. It was just about dark and the light hit this little guy nicely and the dark foliage behind him added some nice drama to the image.

Exif: F Number: 5.6, Exposure Bias Value: 0.00, ExposureTime: 1/320 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 840.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 7D

Very pretty, Leslie - they do have a beautiful golden breast that the light shows off nicely here. You were lucky to catch it at rest - I find these quick birds difficult to capture. #1532393

Everything just fell right in place for you Leslie with this capture, your DOF and lighting are just picture perfect and the subject couldn't have been more cooperative. #10733259
