I was going through some pictures and thought I would post a couple from Arlington National Cemetery last year. #1525587

I have only been there once but it was a sobering and moving experience.

I think your first two shots catch the feel of Arlington well. The shot of the tomb of the Unknown is off just a bit from the quality of the other two do to the POV allowing the bright BG to show at the top. You could clone the trees to cover this area. #10667737

Oh man, Beth, That first one is fantastic! I love how yu framed it. One thing I struggle with when shooting iconic places, is how to make a unique image. Well, you did it with that first one. #10667767

Wow, does this bring back some fond memories with the gang! Looking forward to creating some new ones in Utah. #10667808

Beth what great images, I agree the first one is awesome in the fact your POV is different than anyone else. the clarity on the headstone is very nice. Being able to read some of them is very cool.
Great job! There isn't anything I would change. We have much to be thankful for. #10668467

Thanks everyone, I was trying to find a picture to put in our photo club this month, the subject is cemeteries. I am going to go with the first one, I like it the best.
Mike I cloned some stuff in the other one but I think that is as far as I want to go on this one. #10668616

I find these images very powerful ...after visiting many Canadian Cemeteries in France and at Vimy Ridge...I am once again reminded to hold my gratitude forefront ...and a silent 'thank you' to all those who sacrificed so that I enjoy the freedom I have today...and thank you to you for that reminder. God Bless #10668683

Nice job on the clone I think that helped. #10669412

Beth -- I LOVE going to cemeteries. Not visiting Arlington was about the only thing I I regret. Just not enough days on that business trip I tagged along with Martin last year. The first one is something really special. I love that the tree trunk forms that "V" frame. Along with victories come the deaths of many of our brave servicemen. #10669503
