Crossed Ladders

Uploaded: April 16, 2013

Description

---
Another scene from the funeral of Philadelphia Firefighter Captain Michael Goodwin, Sr. who fell into a burning inferno on April 6 when the roof of a burning building collapsed.
-----
In the cemetery, preparations were being made to accept the funeral procession. Ritual crossed ladders are set up at the cemetery entrance, where a very large American Flag is draped between the two extended ladders (see discussion area).
---
The crossed ladders in this photo are there to lead the procession to the grave site.

That is so sad to hear Michelle. The ladders make for quite an impact. He is getting the send off he deserves. A beautiful tribute Michelle. #10657010

Well done Michelle, I was a Volunteer firefighter for a number of years. Always a sad day when something bad happens just doing your job, even in any line of work. #10661348
