Here are some pictures of our trip to the Festival of Lights at Oglebay Park in Wheeling, WV. They have 6 miles of roads to drive through with Christmas Display of Lights. This is Asher my youngest grandson and I thought it made a fairly decent silhouette. I am using a new monitor and it looked good on my monitor but a bit dark here, so not sure which is off. #1504716

Third time may be a charm! #10474109

Dale Hardin December 21, 2012

Very dark Beth. Did not know someone was in the pix until you mentioned it. #10474169

Jeff E Jensen December 21, 2012

Yup, really dark. #10474220

Beth Spencer December 21, 2012

It did look dark, so I lightened it up. I am going to try and get some other pictures to upload, tried 3 times earlier and no luck. #10474223

I am giving up for the night on this, I have it done and will repost tomorrow. I can't get anything to upload now, keep getting a message that the site is having problems. #10474235

I ran into that message the other day and I'm thinking that it might be because they haven't posted a bunch of EP's in a while. I think you could boost up both contrast and brightness levels. It has a lot of potential. #10474308

I agree with everyone else can't wait to see your edit #10474482

How frustrating you can't upload anything yet. It's like China! lol. I will come back to see the lightened version, I think it's a great idea for a picture. #10474568

It's a new day, here is a new try! #10474768

What a great place to practice night shots Beth. I must say that you've certainly met the challenge with flying colors! (that's a joke son.)

So that last image reminds you of Peter? Is that because the path is twisted or because it is well lit? :o) #10474969

Beth Spencer December 22, 2012

I think it was all the flowers!!! I hand held all these or braced against something. I am still working on a tripod one, just haven't done it. I really bumped the ISO in order to get away with the hand holding! Yes it is an awesome place for night shots! #10475031

These are great Beth! I really like the ligher version of the photo with your grandson . . . and the Tunnel of Lights. :) #10475377

Peter W. Marks December 22, 2012

Now look what you have done Beth! You have old Dale taking pops at me! "twisted" indeed! lol
I am thinking you might have remembered a remark I made some time ago about me just having nothing good to say about tulips planted in dead straight rows. All standing there swaying to and fro with dumb expressions on their faces.
Nature wants flowers in randon clumps is what I say!
Good try Beth although I am surprised that with that high ISO things are as dark as they appear on my monitor.

I darkened the background a bit on these. It was hard to get the right exposure but it was fun!! I am just thinking the flowers are so low maintenance just a little pricy on the electric bill I would think. They are LED lights because they went green!

Rita I was hanging out the car window and sun roof at one point. We were walking when we got to the flower garden, where I took Ash's picture!! #10476362
