Can't wait to see it at Udvar Hazy! Great capture, Jack...! Got to spot it in flight on the Alexandria fly-by, up on the rooftop of a high-rise. I thought it looked "beat up" in those shots---but this really shows the wear and tear on Discovery. #10099756Jack Diamond April 21, 2012
Thanks, Christopher!I LOVED the fact that it represents the harsh conditions these amazing craft and their crew endured. Leave it AS IS. Don't "fix" a thing!
Also, I tried to capture the grandeur and yet real and dangerous nature of it all. She wears her mission scars proudly.
Seeing it inside that incredible museum will be very special. Glad I could be there when she came home.
