I love popcorn, too. Just ate a whole bowl all by myself. But I think my hot-air popcorn popper would blow my camera right out of it. #1444347Jeff E Jensen February 20, 2012
Very cool!Aimee C. Eisaman February 20, 2012
No way...you have one of those popcorn popper machines??? Great idea and I love how we see your eyes peeking in waiting for those delicious kernals to mature! :~) Hope your camera didn't get all yucky. #9991744Rita K. Connell February 20, 2012

You did an awesome job! Yes the popcorn looks very tasty!!! #9993299Debbie E. Payne February 21, 2012
Sue -- So you DID put your camera in the machine! Brave woman. I like your idea and I have got to say that I love popcorn, too. My first job was in an artsy foreign movie theatre and I had way too much popcorn those two years! And my best friend worked in a doughnut shop and we "shared" with each other. In those days, it didn't hurt either of us or the rest of our friends either. #9994395Joan E. Hoffman February 21, 2012
Really brave and creative of you SUE! excellent entry for Dale's challenge. Afraid my creativeness (or total lack thereof) has not kicked in yet. #9994479Sue C. Cole February 21, 2012
Thanks B, Debbie and Joan this was a fun assignment. I had my family laughing all night at me doing this. #9994488Carla Capra Anderson February 21, 2012

Thanks Carla #9994722Dale Hardin February 21, 2012
Love it Sue. You nailed the challenge perfectly and had a treat to boot. Can't beat that with a stick. But this is a critique club so since no one has critiqued, will give it a shot. Would suggest you ellimate the color cast. It's easiest to open the image in a raw editor and change the temp. Would also suggest reducing the noise a bit and opening the shadows some to reveal the shininess of the popper. #9995264

First thing I thought when I saw this was of my son Devin and how excited he'd get over popcorn. I can almost see his silly excited face with his tongue hanging out. Popcorn was his FAVORITE food. After making it he'd hold the salt shaker upside down until I made him stop. I could never eat his popcorn because it tasted like salt.Great image! Thanks for the memory :) #9996351

Teresa, so glad you shared your memory with me it makes my image that much more important to me. One day I'm sure my grand daughter (Kyrstin) will go down memory lane with this image as well. she is the only one in my family that get's exited when the popcorn pops and we share in the fun. I can imagine how excited Devin would get when I see Kyrstin's eyes. Blessings too you! #9996515Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
