It's true that the Unicorn Caterpillar is unique and unbelievable.
These fantastic little creatures have evolved to so closely resemble the edges of dying fall leaves that they are completely camouflaged and are usually undetected by would-be predators (..or over-zealous photographers.)

That background "glow" was actually created on my part by holding a small chunk of reflective rock behind the subject and shining a flashlight on it during exposure.
