Description

This is a flower that I saw in California. It is called Bird of Paradise which is a Malaysian flower. It is also called, Strelitzia. This flower is actually named after the Birds-of-Paradise. They are the most beautiful birds in the world; with brightly colored plumes and tails. They are also a member of the banana family and can take 5 to 10 years to flower. I took this with my digital and tripod. I used a gray background as there was gray material in the BG to blend in. I loved the bright colors and laughed at it looking like a bird. These are everywhere in California.
