Adam: Is this your Son or Grandson? It does not matter. This is a great shot and is a real beauty. I appreciate the fact that the Boy is looking at something other than the camera. You did this one correctly as far as I am concerned. The waving grass is out of focus and causes me to concentrate on the Boy who is the proper subject of this great picture. I hope you keep a picture book of this young man from this day on until you can no longer take pictures. #13469

Thankyou everyone for your comments. I didn't expect this many responses. The picture isn't as sharp as it should be, I only have a cheap flat bed and this is the best that I could get from it. No filters or reflectors were used. The sand makes for a great reflector and I slightly over exposed the shot. It was shot wide oppen at f4 at the 200 focal length. I don't even know who the kid is. I got bored of shooting the model we had at the beach for the photography club and took this candid. I now wish I had of taken the parents details, I may have been able to get some work from it.

What a lovely candid portrait of that little boy Adam - whoever he may be! A very nice image! I don't think that it's that un-sharp - certainly not enough to worry me anyway! The colour, lighting and composition is perfect! By the way, I found this shot in your gallery Adam - you have a great selection of photo's in it - well done! #431770
