Wow, that is really beautiful. What kind of butterfly is that? #6829Gerda Grice July 24, 2002
Thank you very much, Jennifer.I'm afraid I've no idea what kind of butterfly that is. All I know about it is that it's a kind found in Quebec province (Canada), since the Butterfly House where I saw it contains only butterflies that are found in Quebec. This butterfly was quite large--bigger than most butterflies I've seen
before. (Incidentally, I grew up in Quebec province, but I don't remember ever having seen a butterfly like this one. On the other hand, I haven't lived there in over 45 years, so it could be that I've simply forgotten!)
Thanks again,
Gerda. #10034

OH Gerda...this is inspiring another trip to Montreal! What a riot of color...the splash of pink next to the midnight blue is so complimentary! #10082Gerda Grice July 25, 2002
Thank you so much, Dolores. I love blue, and I love the blue in your "Eyes" over at Shutterbugs. That's a lovely image. #10086Dolores Neilson July 25, 2002
Thank you kindly, Gerda for your sentiments on my "Eyes". It's an image of my lovely daughter....who hates having pictures taken!! I hope it does well here ...and I know yours do!! #10087Gerda Grice May 26, 2019
Thank you so much, Douglas, for taking the time to go through my gallery and for your kind words. I like this butterfly, too. I haven't had much luck with getting butterflies to pose for me, so I was delighted when this pretty one stayed still long enough for me to take his picture. #44621Sign up for an interactive online photography course to get critiques on your photos.
