Thank you Jessica. This is a really magical place. I'm about 100ft. below the desert floor in what is called a 'slot canyon'. (There are many of these in the Southwest) The walls are sandstone eroded by water flowing down the canyon. At a certain time of year the sun is able to shine straight down this narrow crack. Usually the light in these canyons is only bounce light and exposures on Velvia50 are about 6-8min.or longer.
