Kate, I used an 80-400mm lens.
Donna, I was shooting handheld since this was such fast action and they would change direction so quickly. They can dive and fly really fast. I couldn't keep up any other way. :)

Wire sharp, perfect composition and timing. I love to take captures like this, holding down on the trigger and shooting away in continuous mode for 6 or more frames per second. You must have been ecstatic when you saw what you captured.I love your panorama, which allows a larger size than the standard 750 at the longest end.
