About John M. Hassler
I, Mike Hassler, am an artist based on my imagination and creativity to organize and assemble things in an aesthetic way, with the intention of ending with an appropriate and pleasing composition in all the medias that I find interesting.
The medias that I find most interesting include photography, computer graphics, woodworking, gardening, writing, teaching, engineering, and in the design and management of projects.
My art is only art if the people that view it appreciate it. I have no expectation that it will be pleasing to all the individuals that look at it. The things that hang on YOUR wall should reflect scenes or things that reflect your appreciation for the world around you.
The things that hang on my walls are scenes of places that comfort me and provide memories of the past or hopes for peace in the future. Much of my wall art is of lighthouses, covered bridges, seascapes, harbors, landscapes, porch-scapes, and interesting storefront displays. That is why you see those subjects on display.
My wall art pieces are modified photographic images printed on watercolor paper, often called Giclee. They are all from photographs that were composed and taken by me, and, with my imagination and skill, altered to create a work of art with aesthetic value.
If the images you see are pleasing to your eye and appropriate to your personal surrounding, I would be honored to have you own it.
