Thank you all for your fantastic comments about this image! I am thrilled to be selected as Photo of the Day! For Tyler and Pinal...The photo "Middle of Nowhere" was created by isolating the house on one layer in PS and then applying the motion filter to a duplicate layer of the scene. There are a few more tricks involved in getting the colors to turn out as they did, but I would have to write a book in order to explain them to you. If you experiment a little with PhotoShop you will be able to create all kinds of neat stuff!

Thanks for your comment, Ann! You are on the right track. The resulting image is a product of the lens, to capture detail and color, the graphics software program which helps develop the image, and a good smattering of luck with a little bit of skill! Perhaps, trial and error is a good part of it too!

Unfortunately, I don't have the space here to explain every little detail of the process, but at least you will get the basic method I used. Then, it's up to you to use your imagination to create the image you see in your mind.
