I think you did a really good job focusing on those baby blues. The only problem is they seem right in the middle of the image. The composition would be better if you could move the baby to the right side and up towards the upper right corner. Use the squiggly Custom Shape Tool on the tool bar in Photoshop. Click on unconstrained on the top bar across the screen and use the Tic-Tac-Toe shape. That will give you the Rule of Thirds and help you better place your image. What you want is to get the eyes off center such as in the upper 2/3 or along the side, of the lower 2/3. But, not right in the center. If you focus in the center, lock your focus and move the camera to one of the quads. (And if your camera has a Live View grid, that is easy to see before you capture the image...especially if your are on a tripod), so I've learned after many years of struggling. I wish my eyes were as sharp as yours for sharper images. You really did a beautiful job focusing on the baby's eyes, Cheri!
