11 page limit on viewing contest entry Very annoying... The BP site now limits my viewing to the first 11 pages of entries, no matter the category being viewed. Anyone else having this issue?

You can go on if you push the number (ie. 11 instead of the "next" button. They just show the first 10 pages because showing more slows the site down.

Sorry... Apologies...I just checked and they changed it. You are correct. Jim, can you fix it so we can go past the 11 pages? I could do this all last week and now I can't.

And if you really didn't like the 11 page limit, try the 3 pages we have now! What's going on, Jim? Are you working on a fix and it has to get worse before it can get better? Right now we can't even see 1 full day's worth of entries.

I am only seeing 3 pages. No big deal I guess, but I did find it odd. I checked in here to see why LOL. My concern was entries were way down. Glad to see that's not likely the case.

Actually Sharon, It feels like entries are down. I can’t help but wonder if it is because only 3 pages are showing. Yesterday I submitted an entry early in the morning and by afternoon it had fallen off the end of 3 pages. People that usually comment aren’t going looking for galleries with current images.

Perhaps my experience today fits here? I tried to upload, spent a long time on description (entry was in Technology so I included a "story" and some "tips"), submitted . . . only to have nothing happen. Couldn't see my entry in my member center or among contest entries. I decided I must have done something wrong, so I uploaded again. This time it "took" and appeared in my member center (minus the description and tip as I'm not going to all that trouble if there's a problem). BUT it says my contest limit has been reached. So did my first upload take or not? Is my entry in the contest?

Nikki, I would think it would show up in your “manage/enter” section if you had entered it, but I certainly could be wrong. We had one member who put in several entries today, as is his right, but that means others entries may not show for very long in that 3 page window we are allowed now. I’m not sure why you can’t enter again if the system didn’t take your entry. definitely an unfortunate puzzle. Hope it shows up as entered.

Thank you, Teresa, for trying to help. When I didn't see it in my Manage/enter center, I did a second upload. That one took. BUT I can't enter it in the contest because apparently the first one "used up" my place. And since I can't see it, I can't delete it. So it looks as if I'm out of luck for today. I'll probably be able to enter it tomorrow, once things reset - but I'm likely to end up with duplicate entries. Ah well, no biggie.

I'm afraid I don't keep up on the workings of BP, I mostly just enter depending on how interested I am in photography at the time, and whether I'm getting anything fit to share.

Sharon, I suspect we all hope the 3 page thing is not permanent, but so far we have heard nothing from admin regarding why or how long. If you look at recent uploads you will sometimes see page after page of advertising that is slamming the site, so my guess is that Jim is trying to get a handle on that before he increases the number of pages for recent entries.

Jacquie answered a thread on FB on this subject: "I know that the team is aware of this and are working on getting a solution. If you click on the individual categories, I think you can see more entries."
