I need to shoot underclassmen at a school (about 600 kids in one day). Is it possible to take a Mac G4 and fire wire it to a Canon D60 or Nikon D100 or a Fuji S2 and have the pictures saved onto a CD? (This has to happen fast!) I also want a set up (like this one) to use for Senior portraits. Is it possible to do it like this? Let me know. Thanks Al

Im not sure about Canon or Fuji but, you can bypass the camera's memory and connect a D series Nikon by firewire directly to your Mac (D1, D1h, D1x,the D100 isn't available yet). You'll need Nikon View, thier capture software.

Have you considered picking up a couple 1gig IBM Micro Drives and using them?
