Photography Question

Roberta Davis

Yosemite

Will be having the chance to photograph at Yosemite next weekend. #1- I've never photographed in snow, and am looking for tips (have a Canon 5D Mark II) and #2 I'm wondering if anyone else has photographed there in winter and can offer suggestions to someone who's a first timer going for a day trip.
Thanks in advance.

If there's snow, keep an eye on your histogram after the shot. You don't want to train wreck your highlights, but you also don't want the bright white to freak your light meter and force the histogram TOO far to the left.

Don't let "bad" weather keep you inside. There is no bad weather in Yosemite. Photographers who know and love the place do fog, mist and snow shots gleefully.
