Have a look at the AF MICRO NIKKOR 60mm 1:2.8 D LENS. It's a very sharp lens. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-60mm-Micro-Nikkor-Digital-Cameras/dp/B00005LE77. Or if you have a little extra money, look at the Nikon 105mm f/2.8D AF Micro-Nikkor. The former is a great lens, I have it myself. The latter (105) is supposed to be a much better lens. One main advantage of the 105 is that you have a longer focal length thus keeping the front of the lens farther from your subject and making it easier to light. http://www.amazon.com/Nikon-105mm-Micro-Nikkor-Digital-Cameras/dp/B00005LE78 I hope this helps. Happy Shooting. Anthony Traub

Merna N, Consider the Tamron 180 mm macro as well it will give you more working distants as well as a narrower point of view. Best of Luck,

I love my Micro-Nikkor 105mm. I have used it for years on a film camera, a D200 and now a D700.
