beach prtraits I know what one should wear for beach pics. Can you give tips on taking family photos at the beach? Time of day,flash,etc???

Are you on the east coat or the west coast? It makes a difference. I live on the west coast and sunset's the best time. If you can, a flash in an umbrella or softbox is nice to balance the light with the sunset light. Another cosideration is tide. Low tides are pretty much mandatory. It gives you more real estate to work with and you don't have to worry about any family member being carried out to sea.
