best filter for portraits. How do I select the best filter for portraits? I have been considering soft and warm filters. Is there any combination that can do both at the same time? Also, I have heard about A-12 to enhance skin tones, are they the same as soft filters?

There are warm soft focus filters out there. I know Tiffen makes one. The only thing to consider with warming filters and negative film is that you are at the mercy of the lab guy when it comes to the warming effects of the filter. IOW the color balance can be set to remove the effects of the filter. By the same token if you use a good lab you can simply tell them to print the shots on the warm side.
