Flash fot film camera

Hi Guys,
My nikon sb 28 just gave up on me, and now I'm looking for a flash for my nikon n-80 film camera.I'm wondering if the nikon sb 800 will work with my nikon N-80?
Thanks in advance.

Greetings Samo ! I'm sure it would work just fine although some of the features, and the SB800 has tons of them, might not work automatically with the n-80. IMO, it's a beautifully made, reliable and great piece of equipment. But then so is the SB600.

If you're on a really tight budget crunch these days, you might take a look at the Vivitar 285 HV (high voltage model). There are plenty of used ones available and BHphotovideo.com might have a few new ones in stock although I think Vivitar has stopped manufacturing them. The 285HV lets you use external high voltage packs to cut your recycling time down to nearly nothing.

AND for a great website with loads of info on using electronic flash both on camera and off with a few very inexpensive, readily available accessories, take a look at http://www.strobist.blogspot.com.
Take it light ;>)
Mark
