pixel size If I have placed a picture on this site and have decresed my pixels to fit on-line can I use that same image to order prints or will it be "distorted?" I order prints from mpix..I have to shoots to do for friends in the next week of their kids and just want the images to look good when they order their prints. What would be the correct way to go about this? I know that when I've tried to upload pictures on mpix b4, it has come up with file to large?? I don't want to start out with a bad reputation? Thanks-

Pixelated what you mean by distorted? Doesn't Mpix have guidelines that tell you the limit for file sizes?

If you have resized your image to something less than the original size, you have reduced the number of pixels (dots) and, thus, the max size you print or view without the result becoming 'pixelated' ... e.g. the point at which the individual dots become apparent. So, if your image is resized to, say, 500 x 800, then the max size you would probably be able to get an acceptable print would be for the long edge: So, at any rate, an image file posted here is not really worth printing at any size much larger than wallet. Needless to say, this is probably not what you want! I hope you didn't delete your orginal image files! dvc

For what it's worth, I resize my BP shots to 720 x 480 for upload. And I can make great 4x6 prints at 720 x 480. But not 5 x 7s are higher...
