Music in the deluxe gallerys

Can you download your own songs or do you have to use the songs they set up for you?

Not as of now, and maybe not ever.

If I make a CD or DVD of, let's say, family photos to be used only by family, with no intent to sell whatsoever, am I running afoul of the law by using copyrighted music?

I put our vacation pics on CD for family and friends, using classical music snippets as background music. I would not send any music on the CD in any sales attempt. I know Mozart can't sue me, but I would think that a performance of his music is copyrighted. Does it matter if there's no commercial use?

Actually with music you're not supposed to duplicate it.
Pretty close to buying your pictures as prints, and using that machine in Wal wart to make another copy.
If you buy a cd, you should legally only use and keep it as that cd. But we don't have thought police and we don't have in home police for every thing that we do that technically wrong.
But that's not all music. Like whatever bp is going to have in it's library. It'll either be music that doesn't have any rights managed, or some that the rights have been negotiated.
