Opportunities for Minors? Hi, all! I'm a high school student and beginner photographer. Photography has become a true passion of mine over the years, and I am now looking to expand my opportunities. I have been searching for some contests or communities to enter either online or in some other media format. While reading the fine print, however, I noticed that nearly all contests require that the participants be at least 18 years of age. With college coming up quickly, I would like to be able to participate as soon as possible. Does anyone know if any such opportunities are available to minors? Your responses would be greatly appreciated. Thank you! -Caitlin

If there's a prize you'll have to be 18. Try looking in magazines that have a monthly contest. Some may not offer any prizes, but you still may need to be 18 for them to publish winning photos.
