Photography in Paris

Hi, I am travelling to Paris on business July 19. I will have a few days free on the weekend. While I am there, I would very much like to take a photo tour (particularly one at night). I see them advertised online but am unsure which ones are reputable. Has anyone taken a photo tour in Paris that you could recommend? Thanks!

I didn't find anything on photo tours, but as far as other things to do I did find that Lake Crook has some good fishing for catfish, largemouth bass, and crappie.
There's some local theater that's done some past productions of "The Beverly Hillbillies", "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", and "Little Shop of Horrors". And sites to see include the 1866 Evergreen Cemetery that has thousands of graves and carved headstones which include, and I'm quoting this so you know you can bank on it, "a 12-foot-tall statue of Jesus in cowboy boots."
So you might find some good times while you're in Paris, Texas.

Greg I believe that she meant Paris, France.:) Needless to say you gave me a smile and will keep the info in mind on my next trip to Paris, TX.

Terri I have never taken a night photo tour of Paris. The places that are well lit at night, aside from the lights on all the busnisess along the streets, the monuments and special buildings are rather far apart and not condusive to walking all night long and taxies are expensive. But by using a good map and the METRO you could probably take photos of most of them in three hours.

When searching for a night photo tour try to find one that starts closer to midnight. Between then and 2 o'clock AM the streets and pedestrian traffic is less. Along the Champs anytime is good but if you get on an island in the middle of it make sure you keep your balance. Great picture spot but slightly on the dangerous side.

If one starts around nine in the evening it is a good time to take cityscapes because there will still be some color in the sky and the lights will all be on.

The best time to take photos of special places is after midnight. Bring a tripod!

Sorry I can not recommend an agency. The last time was there was 30+ years ago. I do like the "City of Light".
