Day 12!!! They say tonight at midnight we will have electric but that is only 3 hours from now!! At least I have seen some power trucks in the vicinity!!!
This was the evening of 11/2/2012 I looked out my living room window and ran outside and got a few shots before the light was gone!

Quite a find and well shot. Is it just a brilliant red sunset providing the color? I like it as shown and don't have any suggestions.

Michael thank you. It was the sunset, sometimes it just hits the side of our yard just right!!
We still have no electric, maybe today, but I have finally got my computer back to where it needs to be, so no new one right now.

Yeah, I like this as shown. Really cool!

Good luck with the power. Are you getting more snow this week?

Any power yet???? This image looks like it would be straight out of a halloween movie. I know it is at dusk, but it has that midnight feel to it. I really like it and the placement of that one large snow covered trunk is a great focal point. Very difficult to make images like this work, but you did it! :~)

I'm glad to see that you did get some pictures of the trees! That's a phantastic effect, Beth. Very unusual and therefore captivating.

If you enhanced the red any, I might suggest toning it down a bit.

I don't know how you'd do it, but if you get the whites whiter, I think the additional contrast would help this some.

Wow, what fantastic and creepy shot. Those trees just look so wierd, kind of like they're on fire, but not. Great job capturing this.

So is your power back yet???

I agree with Stephen, to make the whites whiter. It almost looks like Halloween up north-kinda creepy. Amazing capture of the sunset on the trees. Not something you usually see...

Beth - I was going to say "Very cool" but considering what you have been going through decided that was not the way to go. I love this shot. The red is phenomenal. I do agree that a bit more contrast between the whites and the darks would make this even better. I hope that by now, Sunday, that you have your power back.

the is a very nice shot indeed Beth. nice capture of the evening light. I agree that its just a tad to dark and a bit more contrast between the whites and dark would make it better. I hope when you comment again your electric will be back on. Oh the thrill of turning on a light switch, taking a shower, cooking on the stove!!!!

I HAVE ELECTRIC AS OF THIS AFTERNOON!!!! 13 Days was a long time, but we made it!!! There are still some folks without it though... Snow is all melting, I don;t think we are suppose to get more this week.
I whitened the whites and the reds some in Viveza! I am also showing the sunset that night from the front of the yard.
