Interesting New Android Camera

Everytime there is a new camera, the question is: is it truly awesome or is it hype?

That looks interesting. It leads to wonder: how many folk here use a smartphone for some, or all of their photography?

I'll always love my "real" cameras, but phone cameras have gotten to be very good. I post quite a few photos here from my humble iPhone 8, it really does a nice job. And over 1/2 of what I put on my instagram (@lsqrd42) is from the phone. And the newer smartphones seem to be adding more and more photography features.

Since it is always with me, it often satisfies the old saying: "the best camera is the one you have with you". And it is especially good for wide angle shots. It used to make me mad when a quick shot from my phone (taken mostly for the gps tagging) would "beat" my other cameras. But I realized it's not about the tool, its about what you do with it.

Anybody else have thoughts / experiences?
